Costa del Sol

We spent the weekend in Spain on the Costa del Sol!

(Mike's Fabulous donkey ride!)

It was hot and sunny, very hot and very sunny! Somehow we managed to not get sunburned! We had a great time exploring, which was a relief because our initial impressions were not fantastic (Mike might have called it the UK's crappier Vegas...) as is the case with most places, I would guess, if you dig a little, you find more!

We stayed in Mijas Costa at a comfortable and convenient resort, Los Amigos Beach Club.

From there we explored the beautiful hill town of Mijas, we drove down to Gibraltar (and crossed back into the UK for the day!), and we had a fantastic and surprising dinner in Fuengirola (known as Fern Gully to Mike). The last day was spent exploring the city of Malaga, the most Spanish of our experiences!

I have a bunch of pictures, stories, and GF recommendations to post, but it's going to take another day to get them up. I'm on borrowed time here at the library!

Hope all is well with all of you out there, we send our love!
